Become a Pinch Hitter

At Victors Aviation, we understand that flying is often a shared experience between pilots and their family, friends, and coworkers. To enhance safety and confidence for non-pilot passengers, we offer the Pinch Hitter program, a comprehensive course designed to equip companions with the essential skills needed to assist in the cockpit to confidently and calmly handle unexpected situations. Participants receive an introduction to basic flight principles, aircraft controls, and cockpit instrumentation. This foundation ensures a clear understanding of how the aircraft operates.

The course covers radio operations, teaching companions how to effectively communicate with air traffic control (ATC) during standard operations and emergencies. In the unlikely event of pilot incapacitation, companions learn step-by-step actions to maintain control of the aircraft, navigate to the nearest airport, and execute a safe landing. Utilizing our state-of-the-art full-motion simulators, participants practice real-life scenarios, reinforcing their skills in a controlled and safe environment.

Our program aligns with the AOPA Air Safety Institute's guidelines, ensuring a standardized and reputable training experience.
