Job Summary:
As an Aviation Summer Camp Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and informative aviation-related activities. Curriculum will be provided in-house. You will work closely with campers to ignite their passion for aviation, imparting knowledge while ensuring their safety and well-being. This role is perfect for individuals with a background or strong interest in aviation who are passionate about working with young learners.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
July 7, 2025 to July 11, 2025
July 14, 2025 to July 18, 2025
July 28, 2025 to August 1, 2025
August 4, 2025 to August 8, 2025
August 11, 2025 to August 15, 2025
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging aviation-themed lessons and activities tailored to various age groups. Note that the curriculum will be provided.
Lead campers with hands-on projects, such as model airplane building, flight simulations, and introductory aerodynamics.
Provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all campers.
Oversee daily camp operations and ensure the well-being of participants.
Classroom management of up to 24 students with emphasis on small groups.
Promote teamwork, problem-solving, and an enduring interest in aviation.
Responsibly administer first aid and CPR in case of emergencies.
Participate in weekly staff meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of camp programs.
Maintain and manage camp equipment and supplies.
Communicate effectively with the summer camp director, assistants, and campers.
Interact with parents and guardians as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in a camp, teaching, or leadership setting preferred.
Pass Youth Protection Training.
Pass a nationwide background check.
Pass provided CPR/First Aid/AED Training, or present certificates showing you will be covered for training during the weeks that the camp operates.
Demonstrated interest or experience in aviation, such as flight training, coursework, or personal projects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with multiple age groups simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with limited supervision.
Passionate about working with youth and enhancing their learning experience.
Even better:
Pursuing or holding a degree in aviation, aeronautics, education, or a related field is a plus
Current or previous aviation-industry role
Previous experience working with youth

Job Summary:
As an Aviation Summer Camp Assistant, you will be crucial in delivering a fun and exciting summer camp. Assistants will facilitate rotation through the flight simulator, supervise bathroom breaks, set up and break down equipment, activities and materials, lunches, snacks, and drinks, and work with small groups of students to help them complete various activities. Assistants will report to the Instructors and the Summer Camp Director.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Instructor with setup/cleanup each day.
Assist the instructor while they deliver exciting experiments and instruction in a small group setting.
Proficient in technology, including laptops, flash drives, portable screens, projector screens, and other technology as required.
Willing to be trained in the operation of aviation simulators.
Operate the Aviation Simulators as needed for your group of students.
Able to receive constructive feedback.
Operate professionally in a team environment.
Involvement in the daily operation of check-in/check-out, waiver collection, swag bag, summer camp materials, lunches, snacks, and drinks.
Explain and enforce classroom rules, including safety rules, since the camp is on an active airport.
Comfortable providing minor first aid, CPR/AED assistance as needed (Training will be paid for and conducted before the start of Summer Camp).
Assist with other duties as assigned.
